Westfield Parish Council was approached by a resident of Westfield in September 2020 to highlight their struggles in achieving decent broadband connection. This has become a clear issue with so many more people working and or schooling children at home due to covid-19 restrictions. They asked the Parish Council to take this issue and see what they could do to support residents in achieving better broadband. Since that time we have worked with East Sussex County Council and BT Openreach to set up a Community Fibre Project.
We have had final approval of funding from the Department of Communities, Media and Sports to enable Openreach to open up the Pledge Page.
