Future Westfield: Planning Our Village Together

Westfield Parish is entering an exciting and important period. Over the next few months, there will be several consultations inviting your ideas and feedback.

Westfield Spatial Plan – In short this is asking where the community feel the best place for new housing will go. The figures from the government mean that Rother District Council need to find new sites across Rother for new housing and commercial space. This is the communities chance to look at where in the village new housing should go looking at overall growth in areas rather than specific site allocation. This feedback will allow the Parish Council to feed this into their own response.

Community Hub Discussion – asking why Westfield might need a shared space for local groups, services, and events. Feedback from residents and looking at capacity within the Parish indicates that there is a need for a Community Hub which would also look to have clinical standard rooms

Biodiversity Project on Westfield Down – focused on protecting wildlife, improving access to green space, and strengthening our local environment.
