Key Outcomes from 2020 Questionnaire

The Parish Council sent out a questionnaire early 2020 aiming to identify the key priorities amongst residents and help shape future projects for the Parish Council.  The feedback from this questionnaire has helped the Parish Council focus resources and identify projects to work on. Some of the top line findings came back as:

  • 62% of the residents had lived in the village for over 15 years.
  • 52% of respondents were aged between 60-70 and less than 11% came from people aged 39 and under.
  • The issues residents thought the most important were traffic (speeding) and the environment (improving the bio-diversity within the Parish).
  • 63% of residents feel the facilities provided for teenagers are either poor or very poor which was the lowest scoring group.
  • Support for residents on their own rated at 74% between average to very poor and support for residents with additional needs had 86% of respondents rating this between average and very poor.
  • In the business section the most supportive initiative was improving broadband in the Parish at 70%.
  • Public realm areas and street furniture was rated as ‘average’ or lower, with 69% of residents supportive of replacing old items.
