Westfield Parish Annual Assembly 2024

This year similar to previous years we have a collection of local groups and local support groups for residents to come and speak with. The doors will open at 6.30pm at the Church Hall to residents for a glass of free wine, tea/coffee and nibbles as well as having the opportunity to hear the latest from the Parish Council and the groups in an informal setting. Below are further details of the support groups coming along for the evening.

Safer Families

Safe Families is made up of over 5,000 volunteers from over 1,000 churches and community groups. Parents, Grandparents, Caregivers, Children or Careleavers who are feeling alone, isolated or hopeless are referred to us by Social Services and we match them with trained volunteers across East Sussex who can offer support, hope and belonging. We support people to connect into their local communities and to encourage them as they find their place. We believe that no one should feel alone and we exist to create relationship and connection because everyone deserves to belong. Opportunities for residents to speak with Safer Families to look at volunteering opportunities and to access support. Click here for further information.

Citizen’s Advice Bureau

We can all face problems that seem complicated or intimidating. At Citizens Advice we believe no one should have to face these problems without good quality, independent advice. That’s why we’re here: to give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem. Come speak with us at the Parish Assembly to find out how how we can help with benefits, work, debt or money, consumer, housing, health and much more . Click here for further information.

Sussex Outreach Support

Sussex Outreach Support is a local organisation looking at brining support services to the rural communities. A pilot has been set up at Etchingham Train Station with the aim to expand this across other areas in Sussex.

Local Community Groups

Every year we invite local community groups and sports clubs to come along to the Annual Parish Assembly to attend and update the Parish on their local events.
